Goodwill® generates opportunities for people to achieve economic stability and build strong families and vibrant communities by offering job training, employment placement services and other community-based programs for people who have disabilities, lack education or job experience, or face employment challenges. Goodwill is comprised of 165 independent, community-based Goodwill agencies in the United States and Canada with 14 international affiliates. In 2010, Goodwill provided employment training, job placement services and other community-based services, such as financial education and youth mentoring, to more than 2.5 million people. Your donations of gently used clothing, household items and electronics to Goodwill help support this important mission. These standards include an absolute prohibition on the export of waste and on the landfill of any environmentally-sensitive material.
Reconnect is designed for residential consumers who wish to recycle used computers. Businesses may have additional logistics or reporting needs that Reconnect does not offer and may wish to find a qualified asset recovery partner for their recycling needs.
